    Responsibilities

    The Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for providing appropriate primary and continuing care to all pediatric patient assigned of The Greater Hudson Valley Health System Medical Group. Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing direct patient clinical care and managing medical problems of acutely ill pediatric patients. The Pediatric \Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a part of the interdisciplinary team to improve efficiency and facilitate a continuum of care for patients from admission to discharge. This continuum of care includes general pediatric medicine, consults as requested, and management of patients with various comorbidities. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) will carry out assigned duties displaying the highest standards of ethical and moral conducts as well as acting in the best interest of the Greater Hudson Valley Health System Medical Group, supporting our mission, vision, and values to optimize the health and well-being of our patients. The position is responsible for the clinical excellence of Pediatric Primary Care services and for assisting in the development of programs aimed at meeting quality measures and population health management requirements.

    Qualifications

    Position Qualification : Board Certified Nurse Practitioner licensed to practice in the
    State of New York possessing an unrestricted DEA certification while maintaining required staff privileges at Orange Regional Medical Center And Catskill Regional Medical Center

    Minimum Education: Master or doctorate degree in a nurse practitioner specialty area.

    Minimum Experience: Professional clinical experience in Pediatrics primary care practice

    Required Certification/Registration: NY State Medical License
    NY state Active and Unrestricted D.E.A. Certificate
    Certified by the New York State Education Department ("SED") as a "Nurse Practitioner" or "NP"
    PALS, NPR certifications required ACLS, BLS preferred
    New York State Infection Control

    Physical Requirements: Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with the practice of internal medicine or family medicine.
