Greater Hudson Valley Health System (GHVHS) is a nonprofit corporation located in Middletown, NY, and is the parent company for Orange Regional and Catskill Regional Medical Centers. It provides specialty services and medical programs to nearly 450,000 residents in the mid-Hudson and Catskill region and has 3,300 employed professionals and over 850 medical staff members. It is one of the largest health care providers in the area, with three hospital campuses and several outpatient facilities. Orange Regional Medical Group (ORMG) and Catskill Regional Medical Group (CRMG) are new and growing multi-specialty, hospital-supported group medical practices with Board-certified Doctors, Board-certified Nurse Practitioners and Board-certified Advanced Practice Professionals providing outpatient and inpatient care servicing Orange, Sullivan, Ulster Counties and beyond. Demonstrates exceptional ability to establish and maintain the Foundation’s Donor Database utilizing Raiser’s Edge, providing oversight to all coding, reports, gift entry & acknowledgement, merging, exporting, batching, and creating mailing lists and more. Serve as in-house RE System expert.
Demonstrates skills and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, handle confidential information and exhibits a diplomatic and congenial personality in dealing with persons from a variety of backgrounds, both internally and externally.
Special Events – Manage registration and invitation lists for all special events, including the Golf Classic, Annual Reception and others. Serve as a member of Committees and report on progress and logistics.
Serve as liaison to the Finance Department, assuring monthly reconciliation of all accounts, donations, designated donor funds and reports.
Prospect Research – Maintain records, reports and coding to help identify new prospects for all giving programs.
Raisers Edge – serve as the office super user as we transition to NXT cloud based software.
Support – Answer phone, prepare letters, banking, meeting planning and more as assigned to help the Foundation run smoothly and professionally.
Represent the Foundation and ORMC in positive and professional manner internally and externally.
Provide monthly reports for Foundation board, its committees, and hospital board reports, as well annual reports for national benchmarking and audits.
Other as assigned, including Capital Campaign support and more. Raisers Edge certification desired.
Serve as an integral member of the Foundation staff, providing management of assigned projects and support to fellow staff. Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
Minimum Education: Associate Degree in Communications, non-profit management, business or related field or the equivalent of 3-5 years of experience in the non-profit-setting.
Minimum Experience: Minimum three years to five years’ experience in a non-profit organization in a fundraising capacity. Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint as well as Raisers Edge certification desired.
Required Certification/Registration: Valid driving license
Physical Requirements: Work is primary sedentary with intermittent standing and walking; but also lifting boxes for events and transporting equipment, signs, supplies.
Working Conditions: Works primarily inside office facility and will be required to work some early morning, evening and weekend hours.
