Provides staff supervision, to assure overall functioning of the four pods in Critical Care and compliance with the established standards of care during the off-shift/weekend hours.
Collaborates and problem solves with the off-shift clinical supervisor related to issues of patient-flow/quality of care.
Facilitates / provides the necessary essential services of other support departments whose services are limited during the evening/night weekends tour of duty.
Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelors or Master’s degree in Nursing Administration preferred; (need to actively pursue BSU, if hired without degree)
Minimum Experience: 5 years of acute Critical care clinical experience required. 1 Years Trauma experience preferred. Experience in a supervisory or administrative role preferred.
Required Certification/Registration: Current BCLS, ACLS, TNCC. ANCC Specialty Certification: critical care preferred.
Physical Requirements: Standing and walking most of the shift. Occasionally exposed to lifting and moving patients.
Working Conditions: May be exposed to occasional risk of blood borne disease/patient elements. Subject to varying, unpredictable situations; occasionally irregular hours.
