Formed by the merger of Arden Hill Hospital and Horton Medical Center, Orange Regional is licensed for 383 beds and employs over 2,500 healthcare professionals including over 600 doctors. Orange Regional Medical Center has consolidated two existing campuses onto a single site in Middletown, New York. This completed facility is the first new freestanding hospital built in the State of New York since 1989 and is the largest medical center between the Tappan Zee Bridge and Albany.

    Responsibilities

    The Behavioral Health Services Clinician evaluates patients, develops and implements a goal oriented treatment plan, provides or refers patients for necessary and appropriate therapy, and completes a discharge plan. This work is accomplished in collaboration with the patient, their supports, community providers, and a multi-disciplinary treatment team.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education:

    Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling

    Minimum Experience:

    Two years’ experience in psychiatric social work, counseling or comparable experience/setting/population.

    Required Certification/Registration:

    Certified in New York State LMSW or LCSW or LMHC.

    Current BLS required. Must attend hospital crisis training program within 3 months of hire or transfer and annually thereafter.

    Physical Requirements:

    May be sedentary depending on location. May require frequent, prolonged walking, standing. Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, crouching.

    Working Conditions:

    Emergency Department, Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit, Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic or Alcohol & Substance Abuse Clinic working with behavioral health, substance abuse and the dually diagnosed.
