    Description of Role-Specific Work:

    The Portfolio/PPM Manager is a highly analytical role that specializes in providing decision support and planning functions for the IT Project Management and Business Office. A core component of this role is the maintenance and administration of the Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) application (Clarity) and its integration with integrated business systems. The Portfolio/PPM Manager maintains governance, workflow, administration, and the accuracy of data within PPM suite and is accountable for providing end user support. Additionally, the Portfolio/PPM Manager partners with IT Leadership to facilitate the intake of new projects and utilizes PPM/Clarity to provide high-level portfolio planning. This role is key to strategic planning for the department as it provides decision support regarding resource utilization, the sequencing of projects, and financial reporting all through the effective use of PPM (Clarity). This role also supports the tactical execution of projects by ensuring IT Project Managers and Resource Managers follow PPM policies appropriate to their roles. Other duties include break/fix maintenance of the PPM/Clarity application, delivery of end user training, and support of integration with ancillary financial and ticketing systems. This role is essential for the growth and maturity of IT Project delivery within the organization.


    Essential Competencies Specific to This Role:

    The candidate requires excellent technical skills to design, implement and maintain PPM. The candidate also requires analytical skills and business acumen to be able to partner with leaders in strategic planning initiatives.

    4+ years of experience performing functional configurations in Clarity PPM

    Familiarization with CRM (such as Microsoft Dynamics), ticketing / asset management systems (Service Now, Remedy, etc.), and SharePoint

    Prior experience with XOG and Gel scripting, REST and SOAP APIs, technical architecture, and services related to Clarity (or proven willingness / ability to learn)

    A demonstrated understanding of project management, portfolio management, and financial management

    Expertise in creating and delivering executive-level PowerPoint presentations and reports

    Excellent interpersonal and written / oral communication skills

    Ability to work in an exciting, evolving, and fast-paced environment

    Preferred Competencies Specific to this Role

    CA Clarity Certification

    Prior experience in a client-facing role
