    Responsibilities

    Coordinates, organizes, and directs the daily nursing activities required to support cardiovascular diagnostic services. Ensures quality, timeliness, efficiency and cost effectiveness in all departmental operations are met. Performs, as needed various diagnostic studies including stress testing and arrhythmia detection, radiopharmaceutical injection, and contrast injection as well as other diagnostic tests needed in the OP testing sites. Assists in scheduling patients testing as needed. Performs procedures to ensure maintenance and operation of diagnostic equipment within manufacturers specifications and accreditation requirements. Assists in continuing quality assurance on diagnostic equipment and studies. Assures that supplies are adequately maintained for all diagnostic tests. Prepares various reports and statistics as required by regulatory agencies and department leadership. Population served based on scope of services in the department.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum five (5) years experience in cardiac care
    • Bachelors of Nursing degree or equivalent.
    • Two (2) years radiopharmaceuticals and radiation safety experience
    • Two (2) years arrhythmia detection experience.
    • PREFER: Two (2) years supervisory experience.
    • New York State RN license
    • BLS Certification and ACLS Certification

    M-F 7:30am -3:30pm
