As the Senior Advisor of Actuarial Services, you will have wide latitude in providing insurance underwriting and financial services to Sales, Account Services, Legal and Finance departments, through consulting and advising in risk proposal strategy and development.

In this high impact role, you will:

- Use and develop actuarial tools to analyze and underwrite insurance proposals within specified boundaries, including product design analysis and development of rating manuals and procedures.

- Implement advanced analytic research findings via working with Sales, Marketing, Legal, Clinical and Analytics and Outcomes Departments.

- Implementation of findings may involve prototyping tools internally prior to rolling out on a production basis.

- Present or support the presentation of underwriting analysis, pricing recommendations and risk assessment to senior management for approval

- Participate in identifying and quantifying risk for the Corporation through development and reporting of experience monitoring and studies

- Assist and advise in the creation, review and implementation of contract offerings

- Assist in communication and education with external clients and consultants

The idea candidate will possess:

* Strong analytical and consultative skills and interest in developing relationships within/outside of the Actuarial Services Department

* Strong problem solving, writing and communication skills

* Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team environment, as well as independently

Will consider remote work from home.

Required Qualifications
* At least 3+ years of Health Insurance pricing or underwriting experience
* Minimum 1 year experience with SAS or SQL
* Advanced MS Office skills, knowledge of relational databases and warehouses, advanced SQL, OLAP and SAS skills
* Significant progress towards or recent attainment of Associate of the Society of Actuaries.

Preferred Qualifications
* Actuarial Skills in the Health Care Industry including knowledge of Actuarial Standards of Practice (ASOPs).

* Bachelor's/Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline, such as finance, mathematics, or business
